Meet Blu

Mother, Qualified Lay Preacher,

Business Owner, Public Speaker

Hello, I'll start with my highest priority - I'm a mother to two boys, and I'm so honoured to be given such a responsibility to nurture and care for them, and to raise them well -Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it - Proverbs 22:6

I've found my home in a lovely little church in Southborough, Kent, that has a strong ethos of prayer, and doesn't err away from Biblically based teachings. It also encourages the gifts of the Spirit, which I personally appreciate and value. - There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord - 1 Corinthians 12:4,5

I trained for two years at Spurgeons Bible college in South Norwood and graduated as a Lay Preacher in 2022. I have been fortunate to have been in churches where the leadership have given me opportunities to speak, share my testimony, lead services and more. I knew very early on in my journey with God that He would use my life experiences to help others. I have lived a life and a half! And God in His goodness, has redeemed all. He walked me through a lot of healing, brought me out of addiction, and showed me a different life altogether. I would say it is a much richer life with Him in it, and I now know a peace I could never have imagined before.

Because of those experiences, I want to share with others His goodness. I share my testimony, because I know my story will help many people see that you are simply never too far gone, and that God wants to pull you up out of the ashes and restore you to life.

- "to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3

What do I do for me..

I started attending Argentine Tango lessons at a school local to me, in 2022. Interestingly, it was also a place where God did a lot of healing in me. I am always so fascinated by how He can use literally anything to bring about good.

So I quickly developed a passion for Tango and have been dancing ever since. It's a beautiful dance and I just lose myself for a while as I'm gracefully (I think!) moving around the dance floor.

I also really enjoy quiet time either reading a book, enjoying my allotment or going for a run around my favourite lake.

But the beach has always been my happy place. I'm a sun lover, and to sit down, with the sound of the sea, the warm breeze, the sun on my face and a beautiful view - ah, it's a (albeit very small) slice of heaven to me...

My Gift Shop

In many of my jobs, I've always looked for an opportunity to speak to people about God - to sow a seed. So when I started a new gardening job in 2023, it was no different, I was always going to find a way to speak about Him. Then when the opportunity came up to start a business selling Biblical products, I grabbed it with both hands! So I picked up my Bible, and got to work researching all the different Biblical plants. This was such an eye opener for me, and I think I loved this bit the most! I researched the different plants, learned about the background of them, where they originated from, studied the stories behind them, and more.

I then got to making natural candles and reed diffusers, using the scents from the various Biblical plants I had researched, and I accompanied them with the relevant scripture, and some detail around the story, what

God did in it, and how it relates to us personally.

I like that these gifts are not only great for those that

know God already, but that I get to speak with

people that don't yet know God.

I've had some amazing conversations over these products!

"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." - 1 Corinthians 3:6,7
