Gift box including one Lily of the Valley rhizome. (Convallaria Majalis)
The story behind this gift, is a love story between king Solomon and his bride. But the bigger meaning behind this lovey story, is God's love for us. I have included with this gift, a card which details the story, and a description of the meaning behind it.
These are really versatile gifts, in that they can be planted all year (they flower in May) and can be grown indoors and outside too, without the need for maintenance, making them perfect for those who don't have outdoor space, or that are not particularly green fingered.
Instructions for planting: Soak rhizome in water for 1hour, then plant in compost, ensuring the tip is buried 1inch below the surface. It's that simple!
Note: If planting in winter, plant indoors, until the last frost has finished (April) and then you can transplant outside if you choose.
